Green Reiner Program

The purpose of the Green Reiner classes is to provide beginning exhibitors the opportunity to become acquainted with and develop basic reining skills in a competitive, fun and supportive atmosphere.

Handbook Clarification – Green Reiner Classes
Please note the following clarification – There is a contradiction in the 2011 NRHA Handbook regarding use of two hands in NRHA Green Reiner classes. Page 70 L. (12) states, “the rider may use one (1) or two (2) hands at any time during the pattern.” However, page 102 (d) states “In NRHA Green and Ride classes, the rider must not change hands or switch from one to two hands.” Page 102 is the correct rule: riders in the Green class may ride one or two handed but may NOT switch from one to two hands. Riders who switch from one to two hands in this class should received a penalty score zero.
